Swiftboating Murtha

The term "swift-boating" has entered the American lexicon as a term defining the absolute depths of political slander. To those of us who support the troops, no matter how terrible the war, swift-boating is a national disgrace.

This article is authored by a prominent Republican who places love of country and loyalty to the Marines above political expediency. James Webb was Secretary of the Navy during the Reagan administration, and a Marine platoon and company commander in Vietnam.
