So much for the "Clinton Did It" Defense

GOP will continue to flail about looking for any excuse for the spy scandal that they can fob off on the American people. Well, another one bites the dust.

It's irrelevant. If Clinton had murdered someone, would it be legal for Bush to do the same?

Stupid.

I've already gotten this argument on my blog. It is silly. No president is above the law, it doesn't matter at all whether Clinton did or didn't have warrants.

Why is it that frequently when Bush supporters are against the wall they always bring Clinton into the argument? What is that about?

It's guaranteed to distract. The Clintons were so demonized (purposely) that they have become a psychological resource with which to unplug the brain.

If Bush supporters actually started thinking, they'd abandon him. Thus, keep them from thinking....with EVIL CLINTON (either one will do).

Dig my new pic, in honor of the victory today. We've had so few, the reality-based community.

In fact its all moot anyway since CLINTON USED FISA.

They will lie anyway they can to save their asses. No shame at all.

An illegal precendent is irrelevant. The precedent noted was legal, reportedly. So it's doubly false.

But Foxheads will eat it up.

Okay, so there will be senate hearings. What will happen when they subpeana the docs and the White House refuses to release them because of national security? We all know that will happen. For Christ's sake, we couldn't even get files on that moron Bolton, why would they share NSA intercepts with elected officials with the highest security clearance?

This has Constitutional Crisis written all over it. I can't imagine how it will all turn out. We have to take it to the people. It's really a pity that the hearings will probably deal with too much secret information to be public. Otherwise we could have an Iran Contra or Watergate style media frenzy.
