National Priorities Project - Costs of War

This site is sorta the "National Debt Clock" but for the Iraq War. The site also has a great feature where you see what the opportunity costs of that stupid war are. For example, we could have provided health care for 135,000 of our children for one year.

They offer a counter that we could add to cyberpols to count the cost of the war. I think it would make a good addition to the site.

Put it on -- you don't need to ask me!

If you're busy, I'll put it on, but I'll be out of town for a couple of days...

Yeah, I don't know how to do it and I don't have the time to learn, you do it.

What we really need is a clock that shows the relationship between current investments in all these public spheres and how the Iraq war spending looks in relation to these other expenditures. Are they declining relatively in relation to the costs of our war of choice? I think so but would be good to see.

Doug, I checked out the page. They provide the HTML code for you to copy into the template. I don't have access to the cyberpols template so couldn't do it.
I don't know it its worth it though, maybe just put a link to their page, then interested parties could look at some of the other cool options there. I've seen the counter on other people's pages and it becomes something you don't really register anymore. Just my 2 cents.

Maybe you are right, but I think it's a good idea to have the $$$ cost right up there for people to see.
