Gov. Blanco Releases 100,000 Pages On Katrina

Blanco's papers re-prove the obvious reality of Katrina, that the Bush Administration was grossly negligent. Oh well . . . this may only influence those who can read and therefore may not reach many Red Staters.

I'd like to see the docs themselves, but this AP report doesn't look too good for Blanco's admin, either, as far as worries over PR go, and silly states-rights worries.

However, claiming not to have gotten the letter, and then asking for some bullshit "original" when people were dying is pretty bad.

I wish a "journalist" would do a story on how the removal of 300,000 blacks from NOLA has changed the state and region's political environment. LA may become a Republican bastion when that many Democratic voters are homeless and scattered. Maybe that was all part of the Bush plan.

Now that issue is horrific, but according to what I listen to (Free Speech Radio News, DN!), Nagin is up to his eyeballs in that particular travesty, too.

Check the Nation, Mother Jones, and probably Moving Ideas, too, for updates on this disaster-after-the-disaster.
