Doug,

Instead of ragging on Republican for "not serving" why don't you give credit where credit is due. Let's just be happy that they didn't fight for any other nation's army either. Arnold might have been begging to join the SS as his father did, but he showed that his family had turned over a new (and decidedly cowardly) leaf.

It's also worth pointing out that the gross incompetance of these folk would make them a real threat to our boys in uniform. Better that they stay home and watch the game on T.V. can't have cowards covering our boys behinds.

Just be thankful for what the good lord gave us, and stop hating America.

Okay, I didn't know what a pilonidal cyst was. I Googled it to find out why Rush didn't serve and all I can say is eeewwww. Once again...too much information.

"A pilonidal cyst or sinus is an abscess (localized collection of pus) or a chronic draining sinus (canal or passage leading to an abscess) located in the opening between the buttocks muscles. This cyst may have a deep cavity containing hair and may be without symptoms unless it becomes infected.

I wouldn't wish that on anyone, not even Rush.

Godlessmom,

As the cyst grew, Rush deflated. Today, what we think of as Rush is really just the cyst.

By the way, Rush is widely known to be a repressed homosexual, and thus there may be a legitimate reason why he had such a cyst. During college he had several male lovers, but covered up his trail with a series of failed marriages. Many of these wingnuts have deep psychological problems and their hateful speach is a cry for help. Even so, I can't feel bad for Rush.

Uh, Demo, could you post a source on Rush's alleged homosexuality?

Also, I assume the psychological issue you refer to is his unnecessary repression thereof, correct?

Also, as far as I can tell, pilonidal cysts have no relation to sexual activity, whether in males or females.

Doug,

Ok, maybe you are right about the cyst, but it seems like a mighty big coincidence.

As for Rush, I heard it on the radio many time on Al Franken's show. I also have read it. I'll try to find a link.
