Miller on WMD inaccuracies: "Sorry"

"I am deeply sorry that the President was given a national intelligence estimate which concluded that Saddam Hussein had biological and chemical weapons and a active weapons programme."
. . .
"I think it's a terrible failure, it's a shocking failure, it's a deeply troubling failure, because if we didn't know about Iraq, what do we really know about the programmes of Iran or North Korea or Syria or what al-Qaeda is up to?"

Wow, yeah, we might be wrong in so many other places! Do you really think so, Judy??

How lame. Just crawl away and die, will you?

Randi Rhodes was talking about Miller the other day and said that despite her constitutional inablity to sanction the use of the "C-word," you know, "cunt," she could think of no other adjective to to justice to this woman's character and reputation.

I pray that the next person to die a painful death isn't some infant dusted with Willie Pete in Iraq, but Miller getting impailed on her own sky pole while on vacation with Scooter Libby.

She's still shilling for the administration -- "I'm sorry that the president was given the wrong info"? Hello, smokescreen?

First, how would she know? Second, how is it her place to apologize for the American administration? That in itself is quite telling.

She's a total loser with apparently zero credibility in the journalistic world (so my compadre tells me) even before this WMD crap came out.

Celebrity will kill this country. Dig it.

Doug,

You are right of course! I was thinking of "cuntiness."

Doug,

Also, I have also heard from people working at the Times that Miller is completely full of herself and demeaning to those around her. Evidently, nobody there can stand her except the higher-ups, and she's worn out her welcome with them as well.

Well, she's gone from the Times -- and I bet our source is the same on her rep, and we shall protect that source. LOL.

Anyway, she's on her way to a massive-selling book, a lucrative lecture tour, and permanent installation at AEI or somesuch place. She'll come out OK; the 2100+US/x0,000s?Iraqis will just have to deal.

Clearly, Judy is among the elect, as God helps those who help themselves, and those people/chicken wings you saw post-white phosphorus died for some inscrutible plan authored by some unprovable diety.

Just like the Lisbon earthquake. Can we just get culture up to Voltaire's speed, please?

Grumpy today.

I am grumpy often these days, despite the good news. I just can't believe how long it's taking for that last 35% to realize that their country is more important than "Daddy-Pres." Deep psychological wounds take time to heal, I guess.

We have a different source at the times. I am talking about a woman in her 60s who I knew from my time in Philadelphia. She's been there since the 70s and is pretty high up. She's been complaining about the whole situation for some time. Evidently the staff were ahead of management on this one as well.
