Muslim Heritage Site

See link below under Music, Art, Science, and Culture.

Clearly, this is a Straussian/neocon ploy on my part to cover up my true, ethnically determined beliefs.

Enjoy it anyway; it rules.

Join it for free and spread it around...has an interesting history-of-scitech bent. So far, I find it completely on the money.

One quibble: these folks "forget" the importance of the Byzantines in bridging (Whiggish term) the ancient and early-modern worlds, but that's based on a cursory overview of this site. Furthermore, the almost total lack of knowledge about the Arabic/Muslim contribution (which was not merely a "handoff"; nor was the Byzantine contribution) justifies the emphasis, to me.

The fact that this site celebrates something erroneously called "Western civilization" but nevertheless utterly real and utterly embattled now is what I find most impressive and hopeful in our increasingly irrationalist world.
