Puffy McMoonface Attacks Again

Press Secretary Puffy McMoonface was asked by reporters whether Iraq spending and massive tax cuts for America's most wealthy might be linked to Administration cuts in flood prevention spending for New Orleans. His response? Well, blame the Democrats, of course. He said that any such questions insulted the victims of New Orleans who wouldn't want their tragedy exploited for political gain. Where does (9/11) Puffy (9/11) Mc(9/11)Moonface get off (9/11) saying that he (9/11) doesn't like to exploit (9/11) a national tragedy (like 9/11) for partisan political gain?

Even better, McMoonface actually claimed that the Bush Administration's "number one" priority was flood control, and that they had INCREASE funding for flood control. Of course this is percisely the opposite of the truth, not that should surprise you.

Other tactics we can expect to continue into the near future: Smear and deny.

Yeah, I read that too. But we should be fair, Democrats lie too. Take this comment by Sen. Mary L. Landrieu (D-La.) She told her colleagues on the Senate floor a year ago that it was crucial to spend more government money to shore up the levees at New Orleans. "I hate to say it," she said. "It's going to take a loss of hundreds of thousands of lives on the Gulf Coast to make this country wake up and realize what we are underinvesting in."

Clearly it will take more than 100,000 lives to make this administration take notice. What a liar she is! Typical Democratic behavior.

Expect 9/11/05 to be used to tie W-present back to W-9/11/01 in a bid to shore up his numbers.

Anyone pointing this out will be attacked viciously for using two disasters for political gain.
