More "Progress" in Iraq

Get these kids the fuck out of there now! We are obviously not helping; we obviously fucked this country up. We should move out, completely, forfeit all claims to oil money, open the country up to the world, make unions legal again, send reparations, apologize, and move on.

Imagine what that would do to al-Qaida's (and other groups') recruitment?

No, it'll only happen under a barrage of PR bullshit from Karen Hughes -- but wait till September, "You don't launch a new product in August." Everyone knows that.

We'll be out of Iraq come the 2006 elections, with victory declared and believed by the faith-based.

I truly hope Iraq can reconstruct itself. It may be best to see it split up into the various regions it used to be before the British, I believe, invented it. Big challenge will be keeping Turkey calm with Kurdistan on the border; not to mention a strengthened Iran with a Shiite satellite on the second largest lake of oil in the world. That actually doesn't worry me as much; Iran will sort itself out demographically, and if we truly pull out of Iraq (which we won't, even if we "pull out" just in time for the elections -- we run that country), Iran will be more amenable to deal with us.

Time to call some bluffs on the other side and to remove what is clearly a national security disaster.

Goddammit, when are we going to impeach these criminals!!!!

Pissed off this morning. :)

I read about this tragedy today as well.

Do you really see an end in sight?
Niobium asked me how I would like to see a payback for GWB. You will find my answer interesting, I think. It is under been tagged by Niobium.

Be well, and have a good day.

Yes, I do -- for political reasons, the only ones Bush/Rove care about. Especially after last night's scare in Ohio.

Will check out your blog... :)

You have a good day, too!

"How do you ask someone to be the last to die for a mistake?" - Kerry.

The rhetorical question still applies for every proud displayer of "support our troops" car decals.

Those make me sick. How about supporting them by bringing them home so they don't have to kill and die for a pack of lies?

I've now been either flashed with highbeams as I've been tailgated, passed at speed close by and dangerously while being flipped off twice since I put my Amnesty International bumper sticker on last week.

In Rhode Island.

Maglite going in the car today.

What a country.

This has been a bad week in Iraq . . . but when was the last time there was a good week.

Many say that LBJ's passage of civil rights legislation was the end of Democratic dominance. However, the real end came with the failure of the policy in Vietnam. It seems that many Republicans now can see the writing on the wall. The Iraq war can only end in failure. I want to see how they wiggle out of this one. Of course the spineless Democrats all signed off on this war even though they knew it was wrong. If only they had been against it from the start, then they would be in a much better possition to call for a pull-out now.

How long will it take for prominant politicians to admit that nothing good will come of this? What will it take for Americans to demand an end to the war?

However, I do think that Bush/Rove care about political power only, and they will thus "declare victory" and cut and run just in time for the 2006 elections.

In a way, that would be evidence of some part of our system working, at least!
